Mitchell De Silva

Country Officer & Managing Director - Citi (Trinidad & Tobago) Limited

Mitchell De Silva is a career Banker, having worked in the industry for twenty (20) years, primarily in the Corporate and Investment Banking space. He possesses a sound understanding of the Caribbean debt markets and has participated in numerous transactions over that time across the public and private sector landscape. During his tenure, he has led or had a significant role in financings totaling in excess of US$7Bln. As a relationship oriented person, Mitch interacts with key contacts across the various markets and willingly shares his perspectives and views with clients and colleagues alike. 

In 2017, Mitch was elected President of the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAMTT). In that role, Mitch held responsibility for the representation of three hundred (300) private sector entities, representing multiple areas of the business community in the country. Working alongside the Board of the Chamber, its CEO and staff, Mitch presented and advocated for private sector views on matters of public policy and regulatory issues.

Mitch and his wife Gina have been happily married for the past sixteen (16) years and are the proud parents of two boys, Joshua and Evan. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Management from the University of West Indies and an MBA from York University, Schluich School of Business.
