Mark Thomas

Associate Development Coordinate Officer, Partnerships and Development Finance -
Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator

Mark Thomas is the Partnerships and Development Finance Officer and Interim Team Leader in the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office for Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Curacao and Sint Maarten. At the UN, he coordinates partnerships between the United Nations and development actors from the public, private and civil society sectors. Mark supports resource mobilization for accomplishment of the Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to working with the UN, Mark was the Chief Executive Officer of The Cropper Foundation, formulating private-sector-led approaches to sustainable development issues. 

He was also Communications Specialist at the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency, Lecturer at The University of the West Indies, and a Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (USA). He holds a Master of Sciences degree in Communication from Imperial College London and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland).
