Akins Vidale

Akins Vidale is a former executive member of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions and NGOs. Currently he is a Senior Lecturer in the Labour Studies Department at the Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies and the Coordinator of the Elma François Institute for Research and Debate at the College. He holds both a Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of the West Indies. 

Akins is a regular contributor the College’s Work Matters Column in the Trinidad Guardian and one of the hosts on Power 102 FM’s afternoon drive. He also sits on an international panel put together by the Global Labour University to develop an international labour history module for the GLU.
