Oniika Davis-Peters

Health and Safety Manager, Atlantic LNG

Oniika Davis-Peters is a passionate Health and Safety professional with more than 22 years’ experience in the energy industry, working across operations and major projects in Trinidad, the U.S., and the Gulf of Mexico. She currently serves as Health and Safety Manager at Atlantic LNG, where she leads the company’s safety strategy and helps build a strong, caring culture that keeps people safe every day.
Before joining Atlantic, Oniika held several leadership roles at bpTT, BP America, BG T&T and ASCO Trinidad Limited, where she worked with teams to improve safety systems, strengthen environmental performance, and develop future HSE leaders. Her work has always focused on bringing people together, using data and technology wisely, and making safety a shared value, not just a rule.
Oniika holds a Master’s in Environmental Management from the University of Derby (UK) and a Bachelor’s in Zoology and Botany from The University of the West Indies. She’s also a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
What really drives her, though, is helping others grow, encouraging young people and professionals alike to lead with empathy, awareness, and courage. She believes that emotional intelligence and self-leadership are just as important as technical skill in shaping the safe, sustainable world we all want to live in.
When she’s not working, Oniika enjoys mentoring, spending time with her family, and finding simple ways to make a positive impact every day.
