AMCHAM T&T will host its 30th Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Conference & Exhibition on 27 & 28 October, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port of Spain.
This year’s programme provides an opportunity to reflect on how the meaning of workplace safety has evolved—and where it must go next.
At the heart of this conversation is the recognition that HSSE is not confined to one level of an organisation or the responsibility of one group. It affects everyone—from the individual worker and their physical and psychological wellbeing to theorganisation’s ability to manage risk, protect productivity, maintain its reputation and build resilient teams.
BURNOUT
This perspective will be brought into focus by Paula Davis JD, MAPP, the conference’s Keynote Speaker. Paula is a global speaker, strategic advisor and award-winning author who specialises in building resilient teams and addressing the human factors that influence performance and successful organisational change.
Paula will speak on the topic “Healthy Leaders. Healthy Systems: Teaming Up Against Burnout”, which will address how the pace of work, constant change and uncertainty and the scaling of AI technology have left teams and leaders exhausted.
Burnout is a business risk that impacts the entire organisation, yet most attempts to help focus on quick-fix strategies aimed at individuals. Something is missing. In her programme, Paula focuses on a holistic approach to burnout prevention, providing actionable strategies for individuals, leaders, and teams.
