Joanne Salazar

Co-Founder and Consultant - Q.E.D Consulting Limited 

Joanne Gwenneth Salazar MSc. MBA Acc. Dir FCPFA FCG is the Co-founder and co-owner of a Governance and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practice; Joanne is a qualified accountant who is also certified in strategic planning, organizational development, change management, supply chain management and sports administration. 

Joanne relocated to Trinidad and Tobago from the United Kingdom (where she was born) in 1999 and held senior positions including Executive Directorships. She is currently, president of the International Women’s Forum, Trinidad & Tobago (IWFTT) and on the boards of National Flour Mills Ltd, the College of Science Technology and Arts of Trinidad & Tobago (COSTAATT) and the Guardian Neediest Cases Fund. Her passion projects are: (i) addressing gender inequality on boards and (ii) advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. 
 
She holds the designation FCPFA (Fellow Chartered Public Finance Accountant) and is also Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, UK. She also holds an MSc. Strategic Planning, MBA (distinction), Post Graduate Diploma in Operations and Supply Chain Management, BA (Hons), and certification in Organizational Development, Process Management and Change Management. Joanne is an Accredited Director (Acc, Dir) certified by The Chartered Governance Institute (Canada).

Two of Joanne’s proudest achievements are the wonderful relationships shared with her daughter and two elderly parents. Her daughter has blossomed into a self-assured and thoughtful woman with an extensive network of eclectic friends. Her parents are an endless source of joy, sayings, wisdom and unsolicited guidance! With her sister and daughter, Joanne supports her mother own and run a private Home for abused, abandoned and underprivileged children.
