Giselle Thompson

Vice President of Corporate Operations - bp Trinidad and Tobago

Giselle Thompson is the Head of communications and advocacy & vice president - corporate operations for bp Trinidad and Tobago. In this role she holds accountability for the corporate functions of Communications and advocacy and Facilities and management services. In addition to this portfolio, she is also our low carbon sponsor for the bpTT leadership team.

Giselle is responsible for the management of the company’s external facing strategy and reputation. This includes the management of the company’s internal and external communications and overseeing all interactions between bpTT and external stakeholders including the government, business partners and the community. Giselle first joined bpTT in 2005 as Corporate Brand Manager and was promoted to VP Communications and External Affairs in 2007 and then to VP Corporate Operations in 2013.

Prior to joining bpTT, Giselle spent eight years in the pharmaceutical industry working with GlaxoSmithKline where she held senior marketing positions in their Caribbean and Central American operations.

Giselle was awarded a distinction from the University of Cumbria for her Masters in Business Administration in 2019. She also holds an honours degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and was awarded their distinguished alumni award in 2014.
