LINKAGE Q3 (2024) - OPPORTUNITY IN ADVERSITY
Regency Recruitment and Resources Limited recently partnered with the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts (COSTAATT) to provide employment opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals.
The collaboration between the two organisations is part of the LinkUp programme which offers a pathway from prison to college or entrepreneurship to reduce recidivism rates. The programme guides participants through a comprehensive threemonth curriculum, preparing them for reintegration into society. Upon graduation, COSTAATT and Regency Recruitment and Resources Limited will support participants’ transition into the workforce, with Regency providing services such as resumé writing and interview preparation. Interested firms have pledged their support by offering on-the-job training.
“We are thrilled to partner with Regency to create meaningful employment opportunities for our LinkUp programme participants,” said Dr. Keith Nurse, President of COSTAATT. “This collaboration aligns with our mission of providing accessible and quality education and training that empowers individuals to achieve their full potential.”
Lara Quentrall-Thomas, Chairman of Regency expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We believe in the power of second chances. By working together with COSTAATT, we can help these individuals build successful careers and contribute positively to our community.”
