International HSSE experts Paula
Davis and Niel Harper will headline the American Chamber of Commerce
of Trinidad and Tobago’s (AMCHAM T&T) 30th Annual Health, Safety,
Security and Environment (HSSE) Conference & Exhibition, taking place October
27–28, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad.
The landmark conference marks 30 years of AMCHAM T&T’s advocacy, learning and awareness-building in health, safety, security and environmental practices, bringing together business leaders, HSSE professionals, government representatives and industry experts to share knowledge, examine emerging risks and strengthen the culture of safety across Trinidad and Tobago.
The theme of this year’s conference, “Intelligent and Resilient by Design,” reflects how significantly the HSSE landscape has evolved. What was once largely centred on traditional workplace safety now encompasses an increasingly interconnected range of risks, including cybersecurity, psychological safety, environmental resilience, human factors, emergency preparedness, business continuity, and the responsible use of technology.
As organisations navigate this more complex environment, the conference will explore how HSSE can be embedded into leadership, decision-making, and organisational strategy to help businesses anticipate risk, protect people, and build resilience.

Paula Davis, Global Speaker, Strategic Advisor and Award-Winning Author, will open Day One with “Healthy Leaders. Healthy Systems: Teaming Up Against Burnout,” examining burnout as a business risk and exploring practical approaches to strengthening resilience among leaders and teams.
On Day Two, Niel Harper, Cybersecurity & Digital Trust Leader and advisory professional with the ITU and ISACA, will deliver “When Systems Fail: Resilience by Design: Leading Through Risk in an Intelligent, Interconnected World,” exploring the growing intersection of technology, cybersecurity, leadership and organisational resilience.
For 2026, AMCHAM T&T will also host a two-day Cybersecurity Conference simultaneously with the HSSE Conference, bringing together business leaders, cybersecurity professionals and industry experts to examine the evolving digital risk landscape. Sessions will explore topics including AI and cybersecurity, cyber-driven financial attacks, predictive AI-driven protection, third-party and supply-chain risks, and resilience in an era of permanent disruption.
The conference experience will also include an HSSE Exhibition, where attendees can engage with industry professionals and explore innovative solutions, as well as specialised HSSE Workshops designed to provide practical insights and professional development on industry-related topics.
