 Planning\, Logistics\, and Finance/Administration)\, its relationship with
  the National Incident Management System (NIMS)\, and how its NIMS managem
 ent characteristics contribute to its effectiveness in diverse situations 
 such as natural disasters\, planned events\, and public health emergencies
 . PURPOSE This course provides training and resources for personnel who re
 quire a basic understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-100 
 introduces ICS and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. 
 This course describes the history\, features and principles\, and organiza
 tional structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the rela
 tionship between ICS and the NIMS. AUDIENCE The target audience includes p
 ersons involved with emergency planning and response or recovery efforts.
