Country Manager, Microsoft Trinidad & Tobago, Eastern and Southern Caribbean
Frances Correia has over 20 years international business experience. An Information Technology industry veteran, her extensive career in the field has included IT operations design and management, consulting, and executive leadership with international and regional IT service providers.
Frances currently serves as Country Manager of Microsoft Trinidad & Tobago, which includes responsibility for the Eastern and Southern Caribbean of Microsoft’s operations. In this capacity, she champions the Microsoft thought leadership position on ICT, addressing challenges faced by regional business and governments and works to strengthen the capacity building in the region.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Frances worked with another top global IT company, where she most notably was lead in the development of the first of its kind in the Caribbean, state of the art, Network Operating Centre and Data Centre.
These operations were fully integrated into an end to end Service Desk, from which local, regional and international customers were served with a menu of remote monitored and managed services delivered to industry best practices.
Frances is a passionate advocate for lifelong learning and for creating simple solutions for better living. Frances keeps herself challenged and rejuvenated with a mixture of outdoor activities, setting herself new goals every year, most recently pioneering the first all-female crew in power boat racing in the Caribbean.
Frances holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Business Management and an Executive M.Sc. in Organisational Development.
