Desireé assumed the position of Executive Director in September 2006. She has over 12 years managerial experience gained while working with trade associations within the financial services industry. She began her career as a Marketing Officer in the areas of Research and Technical Services with the Cooperative Credit Union League of Trinidad and Tobago in January 1992. While at the League she quickly rose through the ranks of this organization to attain the position of Manager, Cooperative Planning in 1996; a position she held for 7 years. In September 2002, Desiree moved to another trade association within the financial sector when she became the Corporate Secretary of the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago and the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Banking and Finance of Trinidad and Tobago Limited. These two positions were held concurrently for 4 years [until September 2006]

Desiree attended the University of the West Indies where she obtained her BSc in Economics. She has expertise in the areas of strategic planning, training and development, project and event management and policy and procedure development.
