As part of the mandate of the Amcham HSE Committee to create national awareness and ensure learning and professional development of the nation’s youth we have extended invitations to 100 secondary form five students to attend the 13th Annual HSSE Conference & Exhibition – School’s Forum. The students will receive presentations from HSE professionals on the following topics:
- Environmental Pollution & Climate Change
- Sustainable Development
- Disaster Preparedness
- Health & Disease
- Hazard Identification
These HSE related topics are all components of the CAPE syllabus in the subject areas of Biology, Chemistry, Communication Studies, Environmental Science and Geography. A session on career guidance facilitated by a motivational speaker and middle to senior management professionals in related fields will follow the presentations in the afternoon session. This session will include an overview of career options in the field. This is an excellent academic and career building opportunity for our nation’s youth.
